FenixSoft has begun offering its product “nine” for download, a network library created for Adobe® Flash®.

■ Background
Since its release, Flash has made it easy for anyone to develop videos and applications, then release the content online to the entire world. But Flash goes beyond video and game development, providing popular tools for developing rich Web applications including those with ASP functionality. By taking such steps as expanding platform compatibility and allowing Flash content to be enjoyed on console games as well, Adobe® is expected to expand the penetration of Flash even further.
Ever since FenixSoft released its high-speed network library “nine,” its simple interface and compact design have been received with enthusiasm by a great number of users. To provide increased support of interactive Flash applications for developers around the world, FenixSoft has expanded nine to be compatible with Flash.

■ About nine for Flash
nine for Flash is a network library that supports the development of high-speed dynamic Flash applications. Basic functions for networking software include high-speed connection management, content streaming and messaging. A flexible library, the Flash version of nine is compatible with the version of nine for developing online games, which can be used by high-speed application developers to develop the server portion of applications. Going beyond such development as multiplayer first-person shooter games, nine for Flash combines a 3D library for MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing games) and other dynamic content development geared to play on a browser.

■ Future developments for nine
With Flash compatibility, FenixSoft is just getting started. Currently in the works is a high-speed, stable library compact enough to work on multiple platforms including mobile terminals. Another planned development is a Flash-compatible matching server library to support multi-player content development.
